Details about Filipino Children's Fund (UK):
The Filipino Children’s Fund (UK) is a Charitable Organisation,
which has applied for registration with the Charity Commission
and is seeking recognition by the Philippines Embassy in London.
Our objectives are very specific:
• To make sure that every destitute child in 14 villages of Laguna, Cavite,
Batangas and Quezon has all he/she needs to attend school and to benefit from his/her attendance.
These children need clothing, uniforms, footwear, school materials, books, etc.,
so that, despite their difficult beginnings in life, they can develop their innate capabilities
• To create a school library for each village, to further their interest in learning.
• With the growth of our organisation, to extend our assistance to other children
of the Luzon Island and to other islands of the Philippines.
• We also need funds to assist the families of these children with their daily living,
by acquiring and distributing to them basic food products, such as rice,
which we intend to purchase with the funds provided by our donors,
since we feel that it is best to provide them with the things they need,
rather than giving them the cash to acquire them
In order to achieve our objectives, we need help from anyone in the UK
who can assist us to provide these destitute children and their families with a little ray of hope.
With the invaluable help of Wheelchairs for Kids, a project of the Rotary Club in Perth, Australia,
the Filipino Children’s Fund (UK) has already been able to obtain and deliver a wheel-chair for Adrian,
a 9 year old orphan from Quezon, born without legs and with only one able arm. Until now,
Adrian has been going to school on his skate-board (see photograph).
Wheelchairs for Kids donated the chair and paid for transport to the Philippines.
Please, donate to us a small part of what is surplus to you.
It will contribute a great deal to improve the lives of children without much of a future.
We need:
• Used children clothing (not woollen, please. The Philippines is a very hot country!)
• Children shoes, trainers, sandals, etc. Toys in good condition
• Unwanted school materials, exercise-books, books, working computers, etc.
• Any monetary help you are able to provide
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
