Russ Palmer launches his new CD
"Warm Summer Days"
at Caxton Books in Connaught Avenue Frinton:

Russ Palmer was born with profound deafness and registered blind in 1991, but despite that he has unusual musical gifts. After many struggles, including qualifying as an International Music Therapist in 1999, he has now released his first CD, singing and playing his own songs.

He underwent a Cochlear Implant operation in 2004, and since then he has worked even harder to develop his musical performance skills and his speech – to remarkable new levels of achievement that override his Deafblindness. He has made an international career working with Deaf and Deafblind children, particularly in Nordic Countries, but he lives in Frinton. His enormous achievement is a great inspiration to people who cope with severe sensory loss, and it would be excellent if you were interested to follow up his story.
